I recently stumbled across this man’s work on an online design shop called Goodd. Lots and lots of goodies that'd burn a fat hole in your pocket at this place. There are however a few bargains to be had. The 12 Clock by DW being one of them in my opinion.
David’s design is very pared back and impressively simple. It is the kind of design that makes you think... ‘why didn’t I think of that?’. With a MA from the Royal College of Art in Design Products (2007) and a BA from the Ravensbourne College BA Product and Furniture Design course (2004), it probably isn't a question that hangs around for too long.

Some impressive community work taking place out in Rio, Brazil. Artists work with the local community in socially deprived areas. A great deal of it reminds me of the boldness and graphic style of Cuban revolutionary art. The scale is phenomenal. I first came across this man’s work a number of years ago when he began to receive critical aclaim on The Wooster Collective blog. It was his large scale wheat paste b&w portraits placed all around Paris that caught the Street Art community’s attention. These posters were roughly A0 in size, some times covering a shop front. That was about 4/5 years ago, since then, JR as an artist has evolved at a rapid pace.

The content of JR’s work is still the same (dramatic photographic portraits with a political slant) except now its scale is enormous. It covers buildings, sometimes streets or whole bridges at a time. The purpose of the work a great deal of the time is a celebration of the human spirit through times or situations of strife. Projects in Palestine and the Faveles in Rio are two of many examples to choose from all over the world that highlight this point.

Here's a handy link for all designers and for designer’s clients http://www.aiga.org/content.cfm/design-business-and-ethics Run by AIGA – American Institute of Graphic Arts, you'll find various pdfs to download covering topics such as: Client’s guide to design, Use of fonts, Use of illustrations, Use of software, Sales tax, Guide to copyright, Use of photography. It's a pretty comprehensive list, there's very little that isn't covered here.

Another book that overlaps on a good few of the above is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Graphic-Designer-Without-Losing-Your/dp/1856694100 and another: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Its-Not-How-Good-Want/dp/0714843377/ref=pd_sim_b_2
