Portfolio is an annual get together for the creative side of the advertising industry. Designers, photographers, typographers, copy-writers and art-directors, creatives all under one roof. The main purpose of the night is the imparting of knowledge. People bring along their portfolios and get a critique of their work from experienced figures in the industry. There is an informal atmosphere to the night, which could arguably be one of the main reasons it works so well.

I was invited to paint live at the event, hosted by Ogilvy. I decided to base the illustration on the essence of a what makes up a good portfolio: ideas! The filaments within the bulbs spell out 'Portfolio'.
